We have been working in groups to make a scale model of the school using wood and plastic.

First, we had to choose which office or classroom we wanted to make. Then we went outside to take measurements of the building we were making, like windows and doors.

After that we cut pieces of wood and stuck it together to make a frame for the building.  

For the walls we used card and for the windows we used transparent plastic.

The tools that we used were junior hacksaws and glue guns. We had to be careful that we didn’t burn ourselves!

Before we made our model, we planned it out on the board and labelled it.  

For the roof of our model we could either use felt or card.

That was as far as we got before we moved on to another group, but you can see pictures of our models here.
