Bird watching challenge!

We are Steven and Ben and we are part of Stour links project. We were challenged to find how many different varieties and numbers of birds could be spotted by 32 children in the area of Stalbridge over February’s half term.

This picture above shows the graph we drew from the 32 children in our class. It shows the amounts of the different birds in order from most common to the most rare. As there was lots of space we drew some pictures.

Trains in Stalbridge

Stalbridge railway station  and  level  crossing  closed  in 1966.

The station was situated on station road where the industrial estate is now.

The line used to run between the 2 walls on Station Road as shown in this picture.

The last express train to run through Stalbridge station was The Pines Express, on the 8th of September 1962.

From Stalbridge our local railway station is Templecombe. To get to Templecombe railway station it is about 2 miles by car.
