Class 3

Here is a song which we really enjoyed writing yesterday. We know that we probably won’t use it for the concert but it "came about" in rather a strange way.

We had decided to write some new words to the tune of Bobby Shaftoe, and Class 3 were sitting in the hall after lunch. Megan was looking rather worried and had her hand in the air.

"What do you want, Megan?"

"I’ve just sat in

something sticky!"

"Brilliant, there’s our first line!"

Here’s the song (sorry about the toilet humour):

Something Sticky

I’ve just sat in something sticky,
I think it is a chocolate biccy,
To wash my trousers will be tricky
Go and call the teacher.

I’ve just smelt something strong,
Who has made that terrible pong?
I cannot breathe to sing this song,
Go and call the teacher.

I’ve just heard a terrible scream,
Now my ears are starting to steam,
It seems just like a dreadful dream,
Go and call the teacher.

I’ve just brought up all my curry,
I’ve shouldn’t have had that last MacFlurry,
I need the toilet in a hurry,
Go and call the teacher.

I’ve just stepped in something slimey,
It smells awful, oh, cor blimey,
We can’t think of another rhymey . . .
