all alone?

Preparations began early,

the black clouds came and went..

   all my own work!    

All was prepared and the rehearsals began.

   

The rest of the schools arrived, the concert was opened by the mayor,

who welcomed the One World Band waiting in the wings.

   

Billy Bragg accompanied the choir the audience joined in!

KS2 choir singing 'Lift up your head and look around....'

We all joined in the 'thank you's especially to the members of the band

and we sang to them:

Roll the old chariot along...

and what did they all think about their songs? ..........

"I love our song because its got nice things like the rainbow part, and I like the dum de dum bit." said Morgan, Powerstock.

"I like our song because it's nice and we recorded it." Natalie from Burton.

"We like our song because it makes you think and it has a good beat." said Maddy and Jessica from Loders.

"I like our song because it's all about living in the country and we live in the country." Eleanor from Thorners.

"I like singing our song because I like the music." Joseph from Burton.

"I like our song because it sounds good with the band." said Thomas from Mountjoy.

"I love our song because it's different. It's fast and funny and I enjoy singing it." said Rhia from Powerstock.

"We like singing Loders School is really cool YEAHH!! and doing the actions." said Conor and Katie from Loders.

"I like our song because I like apple cake!" said Jason from Mountjoy.

"I like our song because it tells you what is down here in Dorset and it welcomes you." said George from Thorners.
