Day One

@ Bristol and the Long Journey

We were going to Slimbridge with Beaminster St Mary's.  We got on the bus.  It was a long journey there and it was also hot.  When we got there we went to the Wild Walk.  We had our backpacks with us and we put them in a cage.  We went into a big room, it had butterflies and birds and it felt like it was raining a bit.  Then we moved on and there were little animals in small glass cages.  I took a picture of the sea horses and it was colourful.  We moved on to another section and there were these kinds of mice and they were so cute.  Then it was time for lunch and I was so hungry.
When we had finished our lunch we went into the Explore centre and we looked around.  We saw two cages so we lined up in a queue. When it was our turn me a Katie went in.  We did it three times and got to the top.  You had to pull on the rope to make it go up and you could only do it with another person.  Next we went on a kind of hamster wheel.  One person had to go at the front and you had to move and also push down.  If you had someone else in you had to move at the same time.  There were lots of other things to go on and when we had finished we went to see a space station video at the IMAX cinema.  You wear special glasses and it was like you were floating.  Me and Katie sat together at the back and we tried reaching out because it was like it was so close to you.  After the cinema a group at a time went into the gift shop.  Me and Katie and lots of others bought a Spy Mission thing and you could listen to other people talking.  Then it was time to get on the coach to go to Slimbridge Youth Hostel.  
When we got there we got our suitcases and went into the Youth Hostel.  We had to get a sheet and go upstairs.  Me,  Holly, Jade, Ellie, Krystianne, Zoe Erin, Holly and Emily were all in the same bedroom.  Erin and Emily had to help me because I couldn't put my pillow into my sheet.  After we had a game of fiddlesticks and a teacher came in and gave us four points (3 for a tidy bedroom and 1 for settling in).  Then we had to wait for a teacher to call us down for tea.  For tea I had fish chips and peas and for pudding I had a choc-ice.
We went to our bedrooms at nine and got ready for bed and had a wash.  Then we got into our beds and read a book.  At 10.00pm we had to turn our lights off and go to sleep.

We had to get up at 7 O'clock and had to hurry and get ready.  We got to the car and off we went.  We arrived at school and waited a few minutes.  We got onto the coach and went to @ Bristol.  The coach journey was a long slog but we eventually arrived.  We waited 15 minutes in the coach for Group A to go into the building and then we went in.  We went to the Wild Walk and saw tropical fish, birds, tarantulas, chameleons, zebra mice, snakes frogs and cockroaches.After lunch we went to Explore and went on a giant mouse wheel, a suspension bridge and we made a big bridge.  After that we saw a space station in the IMAX cinema and had to wear big 3D glasses. Forty minutes later we went upstairs to the curiosity section and the Whodunnit section.  In the Whodunnit section a pretend murder had taken place and you had to find out who dunnit! (get it, from the name)  We then went into the gift shop.  We got on the coach and went to Slimbridge Youth Hostel.  We made our beds and had tea and then went to bed                                                                                                                   By Ben
