In February 2003, Year 2
children from our Cluster Schools went to Streetwise,
an interactive safety centre, in Bournemouth. Read what some of the
children got up to and what they learnt. When we
got there we had to go and sit down while listening to a man telling us
how to BE WISE! Later on, we went into a GREAT BIG room which had
lots of sorts of places with fake people. There was a building side,
a park and other places where you learn how to be streetwise. First
my group went to the park. We learnt how to keep places clean:
because it was very untidy. Next we went to a railway, you had
to clap to make a spider come down. We learnt the same as at the
park and also not to walk on railway lines. Later we went to a
garden. It looked quite nice but we learnt not to leave things like

we went to a place called Streetwise on the bus. It was a long way
to get there. When we got there we listened to what someone had to

we went on the bus to Streetwise. It was a long time. Then we
got there. We had a talk and a snack. After that we opened
